New Year Greetings and Countdown to Malaba Healing Festival

Dear friend,

Greetings from Uganda!

With this message, we want to wish you a Happy New Year! Thank you so much for supporting GraceLove with your prayers and finances in 2016! May 2017 be a year of victory, joy, and breakthrough in your life, and in the lives of your family members!

Countdown do “Malaba Healing Festival”

We are now only a few days away from our next Gospel Festival in Malaba, a border city between Kenya and Uganda. We expect God to touch peoples’ lives unto salvation and healing, and that the revelation about the new covenant will be established in the hearts of many pastors and believers.

We almost decided to postpone the event because of a storm that had destroyed the church building in Malaba, and due to lack of finances, but at the last moment we, together with the local organizing committee, decided to move forward in faith and go ahead as planned.

We are grateful for your prayers and giving towards the Malaba festival and seminar! Thanks for standing with us!

The importance of standing firm in faith

Unfortunately, some Christian preachers say that God “may want to heal some people, but not everyone”. In moments when we go through health problems ourselves, we might be tempted to give up and somehow accept the idea that God might not want to heal us. Personally, I (Johan) have suffered from a disc problem leading to severe back pain for 1,5 years after a tennis match. Although I have prayed for healing, done my best to stand in faith for healing, and commanded the back pain to leave, the problems persisted for more than 1,5 years. Strangely enough I saw Jesus use me to heal many sick during our previous festival in Malindi, Kenya, at the same time as I myself was suffering from severe pain. (God uses us in spite of our human weakness.)

It has been frustrating to stand in faith for healing without experiencing the manifestation of it. But never will I give up on believing that God is a good God who wants me to walk in divine health, and that by the stripes of Jesus I am healed! Lately, thank God, my back has started healing slowly but surely, and we expect nothing but a complete and total healing! (Some of you have stood with us in faith for healing for my back; thank you for your prayers!)

LET US NOT ADOPT OUR THEOLOGY AFTER OUR CIRCUMSTANCES, BUT RATHER HOLD ON TO THE WORD OF GOD AND USE THE WORD TO CHANGE OUR CIRCUMSTANCES! By faith and endurance we will receive the promises of God! (Hebr. 6:12).

Will Jesus find faith on earth?

As Jesus taught about the importance of endurance in prayer, He asked Himself a rhetorical question whether He would “find faith on earth” at His second coming? (see Luke 18:8). It was as if Jesus knew that Christians (including preachers) would try to “intellectualize” the supernatural and leave out and ignore all scriptures about healing and God’s intervention in our lives as we have faith in Him.

But we are not of those who draw back to perdition, but of those who believe to the saving of the soul” (Hebr. 10:39).

No matter what challenges you face today, whether it is personal or financial challenges, or challenges that relates to your family members or relatives; Although the problem might look great is your eyes, it is small in God’s eyes. Let us stand firm in faith that God answers prayer and intervenes in our lives! Let us be people whom Jesus finds faith in at His return.

Yours in Christ,

Johan & Tracy
